DISASTER & EMERGENCIES
The December 2013 widespread violence in South Sudan resulted into mass population displacement across the affected states. Eastern Equatoria being relatively calm received a huge number of IDPs from Central Equatorial and Jongolei states.
During this time, HLSS supported Camp Coordination and camp management activities and over 5000 IDPs in Nimule payam in pageri administrative area. Through this support HLSS coordinated all partners serving the IDPs in Eastern Equatoria State displacement sites, to enhance rapid response to save lives and alleviate acute suffering by reaching the population in need in a timely and efficient manner.
